Rush Spring 2008

To The New Candidates For The Trojan Knights,

You have taken the first step towards fully participating in one of the greatest traditions here at the University of Southern California –The Trojan Knights, USC's official hosts and guardians of University tradition.  What is this first step, you may ask? Quite simply, a love of the institution that is USC.  As a Knight, you will be joining a brotherhood reaching its 85th anniversary, which continues to serve an integral role at this University. We participate rigorously in supporting our athletics and are at the forefront of spirit around campus; most notably in our reserved seating on the 50 yard line in the Coliseum.

More than just spirit, this organization supports a vast array of campus service programs as well as the continuing development of our own service opportunities. Specifically the spring semester offers the Knights the opportunity to participate in on campus volunteer events such as Songfest, Senior Symposium, Relay for Life, and Swim With Mike. Also other volunteer events that Knights commonly undertake outside of campus are Habitat for Humanity, Casa de Rosas, and Knight Bowl–a Trojan Knight organized fundraiser for Troy Camp.

Each active member of our organization is excited to see what your class will offer and hopes that each of you will develop a commitment and love of this University that is unparalleled anywhere else.  Furthermore, we look forward to including you in our brotherhood at the end of this semester expanding our diversity of ideas and commitments.

Feel free to contact me at rush@trojanknights.org for more information, or attend one of our rush events the second week of classes.

Thank you and good luck,

Whitney Redfield
